Thumb Lock Fastening Set

Two Thumb Lock fasteners on a locking strap. The fasteners can be moved and locked in either direction on the strap, providing unlimited adjustments for fastening unusual sizes and shapes.

Fastening Methods

Two-corner attachment (two fastening sets). This method of attachment will normally prevent horizontal and vertical movement of low profile, rectangular based equipment within the recommended weight limit of the fasteners. Four-corner attachment (four fastener sets). Doubles the fastening protection for heavier weight, top-heavy equipment.

Fastening Top-Heavy Items

An item that is top-heavy is at higher risk of toppling in horizontal movement and requires additional holding strength for fastening. This is achieved by restraining movement at the base and top of the equipment as well. At least 50% more holding strength (or restraint) is recommended to fasten an item that is twice as tall as it is wide (or the equivalent in weight distribution), 100% more if 3:1, and 150% more if 4:1.
